Oy Haka-Wood Ab is a birch sawmill founded in 1962. Throughout our operations, we have focused solely on sawing birch.
The company is located in Viitasaari, central Finland, in the middle of the world’s best birch log area. The log procurement area is approx. 250 km from the sawmill. The logs come from long-term suppliers who understand the importance of birch log quality and the right cut.
Customers and products
Our customers are furniture industry companies both at home and abroad. Our operations are based on long-term customer relationships, many of our customer relationships have lasted for decades.
We have 10 modern drying chambers at our disposal, which allow us to preserve the quality and light color of the wood even in carpentry-dried lumber. We store the dried goods in a warm warehouse, so that the quality of the goods remains even when stored. Further processing machines include a planing line and an optimal cutting line.
